Checking The Battery And Battery Charge

The battery is an essential part of an e-scooter because it is a power source for the scooter motor. So, the battery issue can be another cause for a faulty motor. To prevent any battery damage, it’s recommended not to use any faulty charger and remove the device’s dead battery.
Remember to check the battery charger and the charger port as well. Plug it into a power outlet and look for any indicator light that is lit, which indicates the scooter is charging. If the charger is defective, then the indicator light won’t lit. Or else try to inspect charger output voltage level by using a multi-meter.
Test The Fuse or Circuit Breaker
Check for fuses in your electric scooters. It might happen that it has burnt, which is why the scooter stopped working. Remove the fuse and hold it upside down under a light to check if it’s burnt out or not. And if the scooter has a circuit breaker, push it on to see if it would reset.

Try disconnecting the brake lever wire, then run the scooter. If it runs fine, then the brake switch connector is the problem, which is why the motor’s not running.

If you find your speed controller doesn’t work correctly, then make sure to turn off the scooter’s power switch or key switch and let it rest for some time. Then again, if your scooter shuts off while riding, you can press the engine’s reset button to reset it and let your scooter engine cool down. If the motor doesn’t engage when you kick-start it, you should check for any faulty switch and electrical wiring to reconnect it beneath the deck plate. Then, to test the scooter’s performance, try to ride a short distance.
Make sure not to cross the weight limit and overweight the scooter as it is one of the main reasons for influencing the speed mode. Most importantly, avoid being in the water with a mobility scooter with no water resistance.
